Will you go? Go to that beautiful land with me? Will you go? Will you go? Go to that beautiful land with me? Will you go? Will you go? Go to that beautiful land with me? Will you go? Will you go? Go to that beautiful land with me? 2 That beautiful land where all is light, It ne'er has known the shades of night; The glory of God, the light of day, Hath driven the darkness far away. [Chorus] 3 In vision I see its streets of gold, Its beautiful gates I do behold; The river of life, the crystal sea, The ambrosial fruit of life’s fair tree. [Chorus] 4 The heavenly throng arrayed in white, In rapture range the plains of light; In one harmonious choir they praise The glorious Savior’s matchless grace. [Chorus]Tunes:
A number of titles have been used for various versions of this hymn set to various tunes; rather than choose different names for each tune, I have called them all WILL YOU GO followed by the composer's name in parentheses. A complication to that is the fact that George Linton apparently composed two distinct tunes for the hymn, so I have called one of them THAT BEAUTIFUL LAND. The tune composed by Bradbury is by a considerable margin the most frequent in the Hymnary database.
